This item perports to be a reproduction of an Imperial period Cossack shashka or sabre and has a date stamp of 1908. however the bayonet attached is of 1930 pattern (M1891/30) and the whole object is manufactured in a style and quality similar to other Indian manufactured reproduction items in the collection. The bayonet is of a widely available type and may well be original.
