Modern reproduction of sword issued to light cavalry elements of Napoleon I's Imperial Guard. Although apparently aged, similar examples with identical stampings are widely available as repro items. The inspector's stamps on this particular reproduction are the "LW" of Directeur Levavsseur and the "M" under a circle/star of Controleur 1re Classe Jean-Jacques Mouton.
