This object superficially resembles the post WW2 Belgian designed Mecar Rifle grenade. The blue colour and markings indicate an inert practice round US designation M29. However the object appears to be aluminium rather than steel, and the markings are identical to a number of other examples seen for sale. Likely that this is one of a batch of replica items made for the collectors market.
