The Rifle no. 4 was the updated version of the Lee Enfield SMLE, officially adopted by the British Army in 194, and remaining in service until the introduction of the SLR. This example is a MkI* manufactured in Canada, all MkI* weapons were made in the USA or Canada, and have a distincive safety catch as well as other unique features. Used to equip both UK and Canadian forces in WW2.
