A mixture of several various features. The hinged frame and frame lock copied from Smith & Wesson designs - double action lock from Galand and the hinged plate covering the lockwork from the French Lebel. Workmanship was not up to European or USA standards but this revolver served the Japanese armed forces up to 1945.
