Description

Bayonet designed to fit US M16 automatic rifle. This example is BOC manufactured, this company made 1.8 million of these weapons during the vietnam war and thus this is the commonest type of M7. The M8A1 scabbard is similar to the WW2 M8 but with the addition of a steel belt attachment fitting to the lengthened web strap. This example made by the Pennsylvania Working Home for Blind Men, Philadelphia, probably in the 1960s-70s ie. Contemporary with bayonet.
