Based on the M1891 long rifel, this was the slightly shorter updated version manufactured before and during WW2. most prolific type of the Mosin Nagant series. The Soviet version and standard rifle of Red Army in Second World War, used by Chinese in Korean War and by the Viet Cong in their wars with the French and Americans. Note the sling slots bored in the stock and rounded receiver and different sights.
