Adopted in 1907 this rifle was the backbone of the British army in World War One and also used extensively in World War Two - still in use in many areas of the British Commonwealth. An excellent weapon - it’s 10 round magazine gave it an advantage over the German and Turkish Mausers 5 round magazine. This rifle has magazine cut off to allow single round loading. Dated 1918.
