Modern Italian copy of Winchester 73 chambered for modern 357 magnum round The gun that ‘won the West’. The Winchester of 1866 fired a .44 rim fire metalic short cartridge. With it’s tubular magazine ‘gate loaded’ and rapid rate of fire the Winchester revolutionised warfare. The Winchester 1873 was the first version to fire a centre fire cartridge, as do all full bore Winchesters of later design. The Winchester lives on as a favourite weapon used by hunters and civilian target shooters.
