Adopting a modified Browning blow-back design the Model 37 was highly successful and made for both the Hungarian and German Armies. It continued in use for many years. German contract examples are differently marked and designated Pistole 37(u) Slide stampings have spelling errors and indicate manufacture for Hungarian use.
