Produced for the German army at the start of WW1, based on the earlier Model 1 of 1910. This was a favourite choice of staff officers and saw considerable use in World War One. As with all Walthers, the Model 1910 - No 4 was well made. Third variant markings suggest date of 1920-23, Arabic stamps suggest export.
