Bayonet designed to fit the 30th Year Rifle in 1897 which went on to be used on the Year 38 and Type 99 rifles. Early versions such as this have a hooked quillon, but later examples in common with European bayonets of the period have no hook. The two marks indicate the Nagoya arsenal (figure 8 in circle) and the subsidiary contractor (triangle in this case).
