The standard World War 2 German service rifle, this carbine version of the model 1898 Mauser represents one of the most famous and successful designs ever produced. The action is simple, extremely strong, and compact but the magazine only holds 5 rounds. The heavy front-locking bolt makes it slower to operate than a Lee-Enfield. This example was produced immediately after the war for the Yugoslav Army, after removing any Nazi markings on components.
