Carbine version of Carcano rifle (See FTA 138). TS stands for 'Troppo Speciale' or specialist troops - artillery, engineers etc. This pattern is the basic carbine of 1891 with the modifications introduced in 1928. The non-matching serial on the butt and the non-matching handguard may reflect 1928 re-working.
