Modern Italian copy of American Remington New Army Model Percussion Revolver. The Remington military-sized percussion revolvers were single-action, six-shot, "cap-and-ball", revolvers produced by Remington Arms Company, based on the Fordyce Beals patent of September 14, 1858 (Patent 21,748). The Remington Army revolver was large-framed, in .44 caliber, with an 8 inch barrel length. A favourite of both sides of the Civil War this six shot elegant revolver with the strap over the cylinder is still the choice of modern day ‘black powder’ shooters. Since 1959 Uberti has ben a specialist manufacturer of cap and ball revolvers for the collectors and historic shooters market.
