The Finnish Lahti, of which this is a copy, invites comparison with the Luger because of its shape but the mechanism is totally different. Absolutely reliable under the most adverse conditions the Swedish Army decided to adopt the Lahti in 1940 but the Finns (now fighting Russia) could not produce enough for their own use, Husqvarna was granted a licence to manufacture.
