Biography:
1. Joseph Leserf was taken on for one of seven vacancies available in August 1793 (Winters, p.40) and employed as a Labourer in the Corning House at 1/6d per day.
2. He was still in the Corning House in January to August 1794 (Supply 5/216) and had enlisted as a Private in the Volunteer Company on the 7th May 1794 (Supply 5/219).
3. In December1794, he was "separating gunpowder" (Supply 5/217, and was in the
Corning House in July 1795 (also Supply 5/217).
