Biography:
1. John Coal was employed as a Casual Bricklayer's Labourer earning 2/8d per day in the Engineers' Department, according to WO54/516 dated the 19th February 1816. He was first employed by the Board on the 12th June 1813, and was a 30-year-old married man living in Enfield, with 1child.
