Biography:

1. John Jones started at the Mills as an Apprentice Millwright on the 3rd March 1796; he also served as a Private in the Volunteer Company (Supply 5/219 dated September 1798). 2. A Report dated the 8th May 1801 (Supply 5/221) confirmed he was still an Apprentice Millwright and that he was unmarried. During this period he was paid 1/10d per day.
