Biography:

1. James Allsup was the brother of Daniel Allsup, Snr., and a Postmaster. Although he did not work for the Mills, he leased property from the Ordnance Board in High Bridge Street for £10.8.0d. Annually, from which he ran the town's Post Office. The Post Office was at the eastern part of Plot No. 49, shown on the Waltham Abbey Town Map.
