Biography:

1. Robert Byner was employed as a casual Labourer earning 2/8d per day in the Engineers' Department, having first been employed by the Board on the 6th March 1813. He was a 21 year-old bachelor living in Waltham Abbey, and had previously trained as a Cordwainer. (WO54/516 dated February 1816).
