Description: These cottages were for workmen employed in the Royal Gunpowder Factory and were demolished cI900.
During demolition,a tempera picture of Jonah and the whale was uncovered. This was later placed in the London Museum. (see WASC 0441, WAI 0099-01)
The Superintendent's House has since been built on the site.
